I have a medium sized fridge on bottom and freezer on top combo. My freezer works just fine but a week ago my fridge just got warm and stopped working. I have moved the whole thing away from the wall and cleaned where the motor was and vaccumed. I even turned the temperature down in the fridge to a warmer setting because I always kept it on coldest, and this still didn't work. I appreciate anyone who can help me out with this.
Thanks

well, there might be condensation"ice build up " in the vent that transfer the cold air from the top to the bottom if you take every thing out of the freezer you will notice either on the bottom or in the back little vent holes they might be clogged with ice get a hair dryer and blow hot air through the vent then see if water is running done the back or dripping from the top if so then defrost the fridge leave it unplugged for a while that's one thing . i have questions does the motor kick on 'compressor' does the cooling fan come on at intervals if the first thing doesn't work email me at jamesdenverjenkins@yahoo.com

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU HAVE A LEAK SOMEWHERE THAT THE FREON THAT MAKES IT WORK TO MAKE IT COLD...HAVE YOU SMELT A STRANGE ODOR IN YOUR KITCHEN DURING THIS TIME? IF SO, THAT WAS YOUR FRIDGE...YOU MAYBE ABLE TO GET IT FIX BUT YOU NEED SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING TO TAKE A LOOK AT IT..OR YOU MAY NOT BE SO LUCKY..YOU HAVE A FRIDGE THAT JUST CRAPPED OUT ON YOU...BUT IF THE FREEZER PART IS STILL WORKING IT DOESN'T SOUND BAD...CALL SOMEONE IN THE YELLOW PAGES THAT TAKE OF THAT STUFF....IF YOU FIND A SMALL OWNER YOUR PRICE MIGHT BE LOWER THAN FROM A LARGER COMPANY......

Get a licensed person to look at it.... Sounds like motor or compressor.... Considering costs of labor you may be better off getting a used one out of newspaper....
