i had a baby about a year ago and i am down to 115, i don't want to loose weight just tone it. help please, chub is worse in thighs and tummy.

Don 't give up! I don't know what all the hurry is about, but if you really need to lose three pounds in a week, you can do that just by reducing your food intake to no more than 1,200 calories a week. That doesn't mean just bread and water, but it is close to it with some fruits and veges, maybe some small portions of skinless chicken breasts added.

As for directing your new reduction of regular foods, full of regular fats not unusual to your regular diet, you will need to get with it with some purposeful exercises--in that we only have a week to receive the desired results. You'll need to start to be really dedicated to your toning cause right away, perhaps Curves, or the YMCA, Nautica, wherever, whatever is close to you at this 11th hour in your weight loss and tone help needed. You can't just do this by yourself, I hope you realize, on such short notice. But you can with some individual help. Go for it!

The ONLY way to tone your muscles is to work them, i.e. do some weight-bearing exercise. You will either need to go to a gym and use their equipment, join a yoga or Pilates class, or else if you are very disciplined do crunches and situps at home (for your tummy) Thighs are a bit harder to target without specific equipment, perhaps do some cycling though if you have a pushbike.

And I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but it is a physical impossibilty to tone anything in a week! It will take effort and perseverance. Good luck :)

You waited too long. It takes 90 days (3months) to get visable results from any exercise regime.

toning isnt losing weight, i think if you are worried about 3 pounds you are just being silly
