Will a region's homosexual population start dwindling? Remember!: This is an "IF". Will more than 99.9% of the world (and growing) be heterosexual in the furture? Will something be lacking, or will something be gained from this discovery? Imagine!: No gay people! My guess is that it will become much more easier to follow the Bible now, and its teachings, or whatever religious scripture that condemns homosexuality.

I'll say this...if there were a "cure" for being homosexual (which, thank God, there isn't!), I'd be the head of an underground resistance working to destroy the cure, or make it so you had a choice whether or not to take it.
I would be the Tank Girl of the Queerworld...the girls would wear combat books and shave their heads, the guys would wear makeup and blonde wigs and we'd party all night long...and let the "straights" sit around 'boo-hooing' because we'd be having fun and they are not! I'd drive a huge army tank with 'Gay Pride' written on the side...

*shaking head*...ok, I'm out of my dreamland now...*laughing*...

Seriously, I think the world would be missing out on the deeper part of love and life if it didn't remain as diverse as possible...after all, from my upbringing, God was a deity of love, honor, and respect...so why can't we work on those things instead of searching for a cure?

you can't "cure" something that is not a disease. i'm assuming, of course, that you must have a problem with homosexuals?
as for the ignorant comment by Keops that we would be able to lead a happy fulfulling life if we were cured, how do you know we are NOT happy and fulfilled? you think all homosexuals are unhappy? no, it's bigots that are unhappy with homosexuals..or maybe their lives are horrible and they're just jealous? LOL
and what a boring world it would be if everyone was alike....

You know, your right. It will be so much easier for us to be told that we will follow religion....Much the same as the dictators that we went to war to remove.

I think there will a cure for heteros before there is one for homos.

who knows? will everyone be forced to take this cure? will it be administered to infants at birth?

what if there was a cure for faith? would you take it, or would it have to be forced upon you?

is being human more than simply a collection of parts and the functions they might fulfill? i think it is, but apparently you don't. i believe you define your own happiness, so i imagine there will probably always be gay people, regardless of any cure.

just as there have always been faithful, even in the absence of miracles. the apostles had more than just a book to follow, do you think that made it easier to be christian?

So the idea is that if homosexuality is genetic it will eventually die out by natural selection as homosexual couples can't reproduce. If it is not genetic then the behavior will persist forever. I don't see what everyone's problem with homosexuals is. I don't know any that would ever hurt anyone, and a little spooning never hurt anybody.

Well, I would say there is a "cure" of sorts, and this is from experience. I used to be bisexual, with lesbian leanings. Now I'm straight.
I believe that people are born with certain urges and dispositions, but it doesn't mean that we have to give into them. I gave in, for a short time (about five or six years), and now...I'm forgiven and I walk with God, even though sometimes I struggle to.

Homosexuality is not a disease nor is it a choice.

If it was a disease, the fact that your god would damn the sufferer of the disease to hell to burn for eternity definately seems petty.

The fact that it is in your genes and you have no choice in being homosexual or not is even a worse reason to damn someone to hell.

Judge not, lest ye be judged.

What about those who imagine that sexuality itself is sinful, no remember what your style or orientation, because of "lust"? Like what, in the time of interest one is meant to experience no longer some thing yet how the act will produce a baby, perchance? human beings like that are obtainable, too. sex isn't a ailment, none of it. except one is attracted to toddlers, violence, or animals it truly is totally widespread !

There wouldn't be a cure, because its actually an opion.. kind of anyway. ^^; Its what this person feels, and if there was a 'cure' for this, it would be wrong. Is it right to controll minds?
