It depends. Sometimes I get anxious and it's hard to reign it in. When I'm like that, it's hard to have good people skills.
As a rule, I do. People tend to tell me everything. I make eye contact with people, most of whom don't always get eye contact: grocery store clerks, waitresses, cashiers. My sister laughs at me because she says it takes hours to do anything with me for all the people telling me their life stories.
Really, I think people are so lonely, and we are so busy and just don't take the time to really consider each other anymore.

I am a teacher, and I feel I have people skills as I deal with faculty members, admin staff, I deal with students all the time, their parents, and their families making sure their needs are taken care of in a holistic way.

Usually, no. And it's been bugging me for several years now. I only seem to get along with veeeeeery few people and then I just drift away. I think people think I'm extremely guarded, introverted and just plain no fun. But the elderly and the kids seem to like me, and I'm really at ease around them, which is quite strange...

You are like an odd, job interviewer. My people skills only go so far. And why do you let all your questions go to voting?

I seem to get along with the people I meet so I guess I do. Others may have their own opinion, but since when should I worry about who judges me?

If I didn't, I wouldn't have lasted for 20 years working in the capacity that I did.......DMR.......it wasn't easy but it was rewarding in every way possible. My skills, caring, love, and compassion for those who needed me to be there for them led me to where I am now. Thanking GOD for HIS blessings and graces to me always and giving me the capability to love unconditionally and get nothing in return , other than the most important rewards....... from HIM.........
