Women talk about sexual harrasment all the time, and how men make advances on them.
Ladies, I got to tell you all now, you bring it on yourselves, you know it. Just when you don't like the looks of a guy that is staring at you, you cry wolf, and then you sue him for harrasment?
I dare you all to come up with a comeback for this one that is not feminist or sexual in nature. Sueing me because I ask this is not an option, This is a logical etical question.

It doesn't matter how a guy looks at you, the point is, u talk about style & respect? Respect yourself, wear something more conservative if you don't want "the Wrong Guy" looking at you, they all over the place! What's may be the wrong guy for one woman, maybe the right guy for another.

There are alot of men that Do respect women, I am one of the few guys that have a lot of respect for women. I ask the question out of curiosity...so many you hear about women getting raped, then you see what they wore..and it's like "Gee...no wonder!" Women say men should have more self control, how about returning the favor?

I wonder the same thing many times. Why is it that women wear tight clothing in the first place? to be noticed/ to look "sexy".
So if you want to be noticed and look sexy then i say please stop over-reacting when you are noticed for looking sexy. it makes no sense at all.
The real answer to your question is...We'll never know.

This isn't an ethical question in the sense that a man can't make the defense that the reason why he stares at a scantily clad woman is some sort of moral obligation. It seems less likely that a woman would want to be "more conservative" given the attitude towards those women.
What you are dealing with here is a society that only perpetuates the way women feel about themselves. When you open up a magazine, look at a billboard, or turn on the TV, you are, especially as a woman, faced with thousands of images that make you feel guilty, ugly, or unfit. Most women dress the way they do on a subconscious level. Sure they are conscious of the clothing they are putting on, but the reason why they feel the need to flaunt themselves goes a lot deeper than that. If you want to go on a crusade about women wearing tight tops and being hypocrites, I would suggest starting in Hollywood.

I hate to be like this but you are being so one sided on this issue.....just because a woman is wearing a tight fitting top doesn't mean she is asking for it.....its all the men in the world that can't control themselves. I have a question for you....if your daughter went out wearing a revealing top or a sleeveless top and a man went after her or violated her in some kind of way....who would you blame? You can't say the blame is all on her....you might as well just blame yourself as a parent for encouraging her behavior. I bet it's different if the shoe was on the other foot.

Women wear tight tops because men design them for women to wear.
And by the way - it shouldn't matter what a woman is wearing or how she looks. You should respect her enough to give her your full attention when she is talking to you.
You can't sue a man for harrassment for staring at you. He has to make an "overt guesture" that is considered offensive. "Staring" is not an "overt guesture". Making an assidine comment like women bringing on sexual harrassment themselves by what they wear is.
There. . . I tried to make this not sexual. I may have thrown a little feminism in there, but it was more for sarcasm than anything else. So I feel I complied with your request.
Now go to your mama and let her slap you upside the head - you need to learn a little respect for women!
P.S. - Your argument sounds dangerously like a woman asks to be raped by what she is wearing. You are suggesting that men have no free will, and that they are ruled by their penis. In reality, men have free will, but choose not to think with the head on their shoulders.

Women wear form fitting clothes because they dont want to look fat! Loose clothes are not in fashion!
And I dont think they really like anyone staring at them! Weather he is someone handsome or not!
Also they are not offended when men just look at thier bodies...but are only offended if they try to stare too much like they want to get them laid! or make any sexual advances. Most women wear form fitting clothes but are adequately covered.
And about wearing revealing clothes I agree women who bare thier breasts look like sluts and are one in thier minds. I agree with the fact that most women who reveal too much skin are dying for a man's/women's attention. Period.
Some women wear revealing clothes to match the crowd only in a few places For Eg: Like in a club, you cant go dressed too conservative. Dont blame the women there.
Am not being a feminst here. This is a logical and a real answer. And by the way, if your mom/sister wears something that shows thier body would you look at them in a bad way? If not why not?
Treat other women like that. They are also somebody's mom/sister/wife.

I am a woman, and your point is not only well taken I agree with you. I think that women don't think it through. We want men to be attracted to us, but many women think that this means you put it all out there. But that is not what most women really want you to be attracted to--they want you to be attracted to them as a person, and they just don't realize that they are undermining their own purpose and desire.
We women get it from television, the movies, the magazines, the media, that you're supposed to look "sexy" to attract a man.
And young women really don't always get what they are doing to a man mentally when they dress immodestly.
If you are friends with a girl, it might be good to clue her in, and let her know that she is playing a double and dangerous game.
That's the woman's part in this.
Your part is to guard your eyes, and not succumb to the temptation that is being put in your way. In this way, you are showing your real respect for women, and helping them.

I shall grant your wish.......
I am busty for my frame. I'm sorry, I can't help that.
I am slender and curvy with a small waist.
When women like me wear loose fitting tops, such as a baggy sweater, the sweater or blouse just hangs straight down from our bust, by passes the waist and lands on our hips.
When we go out, we get sneers from men to tell us to lose weight. Busty women in loose tops APPEAR to be overweight.
The waistline is hidden deep inside there, that no one can see.
SO!...We wear figure hugging clothing so we don't appear to be fat. We need for people to see that we have a small waist, that we are not fat.
Men can be SO rude about a woman's weight! I'm only 109 pounds and if I wear something loose, men treat me entirely differently. They don't want to have anything to do with us.
It's pathetic!
SO...We wear something figure flattering and just because we are busty, men think we're sluts! AW, must be implants.
It's INSULTING!!!!!!!!! GIVE US A BREAK!!!!!
You think we're hot! Next day.....WHOA! That ***** better lay off of those fries!......Next day......WHORE!
WE CANNOT WIN!!!!! THAT'S WHY!
You should see the way we are treated!

Do you ever think that its the comments that come out of mens mouth that is offensive. I admit that I am well endowed and know men stare at me. That doesn't bother me I believe flaunt it if ya got it. However, when I get rude comments or I cannot get him to look me in the face while talking that is irratating. Looking and appreciating is one thing. Staring and trying to look down my top is another. What gives you the right to make advances? I didn't ask you to touch me or make rude comments. Women like compliments but hate rude and unnecessary comments. Men can be right out rude.

2 words.....style, and respect.
These women want to be stylish, they are not going to dress in some granmothers clothing just for the hopes that a man will not look at her breasts.
It shouldn't matter what top they have on, you must just not show any respect at all, and google over her chest....quite honestly you sound like a sicko to me....it's normal, we want to be respected, some guys just know what that means...you, obviously, do not.

They wear tight tops because they like attention. Try ignoring them they will love you for it. Tell them something is wrong with the way they look. You will score some points.

i agree with you. its real crazy that they wear tight body hugging suits and expect other (women inclusive) do not stare / ogle at them. And in turn go crazy spotting someone doing it. Most women are opportunist and go at any Length to get mileage from the law and in reverse harass men.
