it implies whow we treat/ regard/ relate to etc. , it is not just a feeling, if it were it would just be this person makes me feel really great. Look at the actions the people who say they love you take towards you or do for you, do they love you.

Absolutely. I love the song, "Something That We Do" by Clint Black. It speaks well of love being a verb.

I remember well the day we wed
I can see that picture in my head
I still believe the words we said
Forever will ring true

Love is certain, love is kind
Love is yours and love is mine
But it isn't somethin' that we find
It's somethin' that we do

It's holdin' tight, lettin' go
It's flyin' high and layin' low
Let your strongest feelin's show
And your weakness too

It's a little and a lot to ask
An endless and a welcome task
Love isn't somethin' that we have
It's somethin' that we do

We help to make each other all that we can be
Though we can find our strength and inspiration independently
The way we work together is what sets our love apart
So closely that we can't tell where I end and where you start

It gives me heart rememberin' how
We started with a simple vow
There's so much to look back on now
Still it feels brand new

We're on a road that has no end
And each day we begin again
Love's not just somethin' that we're in
It's somethin' that we do

We help to make each other all that we can be
Though we can find our strength and inspiration independently
The way we work together is what sets our love apart
So closely that we can't tell where I end and where you start

Love is wide, love is long
Love is deep and love is strong
Love is why I love this song
And I hope you love it too

I remember well the day we wed
I can see that picture in my head
Love isn't just those words we said
It's somethin' that we do

There's no request too big or small
We give ourselves, we give our all
Love isn't someplace that we fall
It's somethin' that we do

Love is most definitely an action word because love isn't just there, you have to work at it and give 100% to your partner to make the relationship work and everyday the love must grow to stay alive.

Even if its love to parents or a child. you still have to SHOW the love. so YES....

to me love is feelings. Without the feelings they wouldn't do the actions towards you in the first place. If they "feel" like they love you they would "do" anything for you.

Well I don't know about other people, only my family and I am sure of their love. But when it comes to others, love is a word that is broadened these days. There's a difference in being loved and being in love. You can love your neighbor as yourself, if you follow GOD'S words. But that doesn't mean that you are in love with them. As much as I love my family, I am not in love with them. Even they would like to see me be in love and have someone be in love with me again..That's how much they love me....As far as showing it (action) it goes both ways........

I agree!!!
Show it? - It is love. Not show if? - I don't know what to think or believe, then. Right?
