When it comes to my close family and friends, I am not selfish. If and when they need anything from me, I easily give them if and when I can. I do that much for them because I am sure if the tables were turned, they will also do the same thing for me. As for acquaintances, I generally think first before I give, not because of I am being selfish but I want to be sure that I am not being used or anything like that. :)

But again, supposedly being too unselfish I guess can be a bad thing too so, like I said I'm trying to find a balance.

I do not consider my self selfish. I consider myself as having high standards. I want my life to be a certain way and making it a goal to be that way. It doesnt' have to be perfect, but I want to be happy. As far as men go I am looking for honesty and I do not consider that selfish I just want someone I can trust that will love me back for who I am and not for what I look like.

No, I don't. Anyone who really knows me also knows that I put them before myself always. I'm a giving person, always have been, always will be. But there comes a time in ones life when they have to realize that they have to think of themself sometimes as it is the proper thing to do. It is called respect for yourself and any true christian would understand that GOD would want you to love yourself first before others and then you will be able to love them as well. It's a hard thing to come to terms with when you are a humble person but self respect counts for a lot in anyone's life.....don't have it....won't get it......

NO I can and do give things up for my family.
NOW husband on the other hand is extremely selfish. He gets mad when one of the kids want something he has.

I should be I don't like people touching my stuff and losing it and then I end up having to replace it but at times I don't mind sharing but my tolerance can only go so far...
