Time heals all wounds. I always thought it was very cliche, and complete bull****, but in retrospect, it really is true. There is no surefire way to mend a broken heart... and I never think it ever really heals. I am with the love of my life, and looking back, I could still cry about all the times I have been hurt in the past. The important thing is to grow from it. Acknowledge your pain, allow yourself to express it, and remind yourself that you won't hurt this bad forever. Get involved in something, church, school, volunteering, take up a new hobby. Being alone with your thoughts is good, but never for too long. If you have someone to confide in, try to. Really great friends make you feel better, and a little less crazy, trust me. If all else fails, there is nothing quite like crying and some ice cream. I sincerely wish you good luck, from someone who has been there, done that, many times.

give yourself some time to mourn and cry and reflect. Then after a while get up and get back in the game! Go out and meet new people and go out again. You don't have to get into a relationship anytime soon but after you have given yourself a chance to mourn get back out there! Life is too short don't let yourself sit around and be miserable forever. Just remember that whatever happened was exactly what was supposed to happen and it just means that someone else out there was meant for you. Take care!!

I started accumulating projects that would keep my mind busy. Shopping worked for a short time then I decided to take some classes at a local college. Basically do something different...like seeing a play with a friend or family member that you may be close to. If you need to talk someone make an appointment. with a counselor/minister.

You cannot! You must go through the normal healing process as everyone does.
Only time will heal a broken heart... trust me!

Time. Eventually your heart will heal. But there are no quick fixes.
