Obviously next year, I will encounter alcohol, sex, drugs, and all the rest. I do I keep from going overboard. I have a feeling lots of freshman go nuts with the alcohol, which in my opinionisnt that great. Marijuana is much more fun. Anyways, I don't really do any of those things in excess, and need to keep it that way to keep my GPA up. It's kinda like all or none rightn now. I need advice to stay focused next year.

Leave it ALL behind. If you're honest about wanting to do well in school, you'd be smart to stick to the books and do all that other stuff later, if at all.

You really have to tell yourself every day to stick to what you want.

Set these goals for yourself! No one is going to make you do it, you have to do it yourself. That's the great part of becoming an adult.

You won't be sorry, trust me. I've done it.

I am a person who has crossed school level.
I know how a person who wants to try everything new would feel like.
It is better to stay away from bad habits than to try them once and then struggle to quit them later
When someone knows something is bad, fighting against them for a right cause may be meaningful.
But when someone knows that letting the bad habits rule is no way for fighting against them, it is not sensible to try them.
Be focused. Believe in yourself
When u think it is not possible to study properly or to quit bad habits, it means that u r letting some inanimate things rule you.
Believe that u r much more than that and you can achieve. Deliberately indulging in bad habits is like letting one self down which should not be the case. Life is given to us for living properly.
Understand that, focus on your studies and believe that you can achieve. You will achieve!

Study during the week all the while maintaining a hobby. The hobby should provide you with enough of a distraction to keep you away from the bad things. On the weekends, try to go out once or get a good screw just take your mind off of things; key word "once."

freshmen mortality in college is high because they tend to abuse the relative freedom they experience once theyre out of high school. i suggest joining a school organization. joining a study group is also a great idea. cant find one? start one. doing advance reading and attending enrichment or skills classes will also be of great help.

all of this sounds so nerdy but in the long run, this will enable you to enjoy your higher years more. best of luck next year.
