Wouldnt you be stronger if you used your arms to support your body weight while climbing trees and clinging to branches? Thats why monkeys are strong.

Evolution. We evolved more gracile frames for walking long distances. Bipedal locomotion with a small body is excellent for moving long, long distances. Humans on foot migrate farther than any other land mammal from their original territory. It is just more efficient to not be so strong and to not swing from trees.
Now chimps, on the other hand, stay in one place and spend all day hanging in a tree. They need the strong upper body as a convenience of staying in one place and also for their culture of dominating one another.

If the monkeys are so strong, why are they captured and thrown in zoos to entertain humans?

Because they do not have cars, tools, elevators, ovens, refridgerators, homes, and a government to make things easier. They HAVE to work to get food, climb to escape danger, and live wildy in a state of nature.

That is because, animals and us survive on Darwin's theory-"Survival of the fittest". So, they need to be strong and take care that their generation continues to survive.
Hope this helps.
