well, i had an ideia that could change the way people drive forever, but i need to make this thing come true. if i sold this idea i could make very, very rich. but i got no money to patent it or pay a lawyer. a friend from work had an ideia an somebody bought it and made it an invention...it was some tipe of chair that sprays water for tanning...but i remember she spent over 10.000 w/ lawyer and everything elso. the kind of money i really dont have..so if you know anything let me know.

NOLO is a great, free informational site. Also, be sure to read what else the USPTO (United States Patent & Trademark Office) has to say about patents.

Associations may be a good avenue to explore as well. These organizations will address many of the thoughts, questions and concerns you'll inevitably have as well as many you haven't anticipated yet. See the source box for some relevant links.

Research, research, research – this cannot be stressed enough. Read as much as you can. Here are some book titles that are relevant:

If its a really good idea ,then you wont need any money. You will have to convince someone with money to invest into it. If its a really good idea, then that wont be a problem either. BUT, you should really patent it before you do anything else.
