He's a political professional who Clinton thought would be helpful to him. His personal views have nothing to do with his acumen as a political consultant-it's just a job he does.

Why did Bush hire George Tenent, a democrat, to be in his cabinet and basically control what comes out of the CIA?

Point is, a lot of administrations have ppl from the other side of the aisle work for them. Not everybody thinks like you do.. in US against THEM all the time.

We are at war in case you haven't noticed. This is not the time to keep trying to divide us. Well not unless you want to lose.

Gergen is a moderate and has worked for more democrates then republicans. Republicans use him too.

Right now you'll need a hundred David Gergens to straighten the mess we are in now.
