saw one on some ladies tootsies in red with white trim.....do that...

How about a light shade of purple. Kind of like the color on an unpainted fingernail.

You want a really cool colour.
It is called "I feel the earth move" by Sparitual. I bought it at a spa for my girlfriend. I used to date an aesthetition and I know my nails. My birthday gift to myself is going to be a pedicure tomorrow. This place is crazy expensive that I go to, but well worth it.
I am obsessed with my nails metrosexual that I am.
I am a compulsive "buffer" my fingernails look like glass.
try that colour if you can find it, it is a deep burgandy almost chocolate colour. It looks very good, I highly recommend it.

Red for classical elegance. Purple for standing out a little and being noticed (even if red looks better than purple).

Purple with red accents like little roses or peace symbols.
Or you could just go with plain red and paint your fingers purple! No one ever does that!

My 2 cents: Red is a classic color that can go from the beach to partying at night with ease. Find a shade that's got an undertone (i.e., blue or orange) that goes best with your skin tone.

Well the last time I put on red nail polish it was bright red and my nails were kind of long so I looked kind of vampy, and
bright red = sexy all the way
purple is a more fun colour, of course it depends on the shade as well. lighter shades say more demure where as louder brighter purples say fun fun!
