Now remember, seeing your face in a mirror is not seeing your face, but merely your reflection, so you are not seeing your face, merely what your face looks like. This has been an ongoing debate between my friend and I, ongoing, as in, three years running and we still can't agree. Oh, and by face, I mean entire face, with no parts left out.

As everyone has already told you, you can't see your own face without a mechanical aid. Interestingly, there is a mirror on the market that does not reverse your reflection and will show you how you look to others. Maybe you could seek one out. Cheers, B

As long as you're going to draw a distinction between "real" and "reflection" and exclude "reflection", then even a fancy mirror that reverses your left and right so that they are presented to you as someone facing you would see them along with a parabolic curve to pick up the sides of your face won't solve your problem. As stated, you simply can't

If thats the case, there are probably other body parts that you can't see either. I think you guys should put the debate on hold or dismiss it completely.

I was riding in a taxicab this morning and there was a female dispatcher on the two-way radio. She was dispatching the cabs to various addresses and the usual dispatch chatter was going on. Suddenly, the dispatcher asked?... Michael Hunt, are you out there... Mike? Do you read me?... Mike Hunt, Mike Hunt... Come in, ... Come In... Come in Mike Hunt. I don't know why this seem so funny to me- it's just a persons name.

I couldn't stop laughing. I think something shot out of my nose!

Well if you want to go so technical, that mirrors won't count, then let me tell you that everything our eyes see is a reflection of that thing, given a particular light, a particular angle, and so on. All we see is reflections of objects.

You and your friend need to get something constructive to do and find lives. Duh, no it is not possible to see your own face without the aide of a mirror; you might be able to see your own nost if you glance downward and part of your cheeks, lips, etc., but you can't see it all at the same time. If you spend any more time contemplating this you really NEED a life!
