The answer to your question is, regrettably, a great many. Yeah, bunches think it but then again they are also a pack of mouth breathing morons so why worry about their silly opinions to any degree? Every conflict since time began has been called the beginning of the end and it never is but people never learn. It will all happen again in a few years.

I remember the Suez Canal war (1956), Cuban Missile Crisis (1962), Six Day War (1967) and a stunning host of others ... nah.

Was reading something tonight by Alain de Benoist concerning the differences between conflicts among adversaries and those between enemies. In the first situation, the parties are rival combattants, and each is capable of acknowledging the honor and courage of their foe. These will come to terms eventually. In the latter case, there has become a heavy moralistic element ... the opposing sides see the conflict in terms of absolutes and rather desire a peace that results from annihilation of the enemy, as in "the only good X is a dead X". These enemies may well carry things that far, no matter what the cost, because each is waging a war against *evil* (as they see it) ... how can the parties come to terms with that? The result is annihilation or an endless circle of retaliation until at least one side is so destroyed that they can no longer wage war. Hatreds like that can encompass a millennium.

Here is my answer to that question which was asked by another person in much the same way as your queston.

snOOOdle is right, almost. The factions of the 3rd World War are not being moved into place. They are already there. In the near future, the media will be talking about the 3rd World War that started at the event of 911. It actually started shortly before.
The fighting in Israel alone is not a fulfillment of this prophecy. God said that Israel would never know peace. He gave them many leaders and even kings and queens to lead them in God's way. The Jews always turned from him and those leaders. They refuse to accept Christ. They do not believe that the prophecy of his birth has ever been fulfilled.
When you add the recent events with other occurrences however, you do see a fulfillment of prophecy. One example: Revelations talks about the confusion of the animal world. Here in Missouri, snakes are cross breading. It is no longer possible to tell a poisonous snake from one that is harmless. Just yesterday I killed what appeared to be a garden snake. It had slitted eyes. I have killed water moccasins and cotton mouth snakes that had either rounded heads or round eyes. In the past a poisonous snake could be identified by the slitted eyes and arrow shaped head. This is no longer possible. Five years ago a child here died after being bitten by a common blue racer. A snake that is normally non poisonous.

War has been going on since the dawn of man. What is the point of this? For the last time Revelations was written by Pope Peter, who was also a complete idiot. He wrote that part of the Bible to scare people and people who have translated that part of the Bible have translated it incorrectly. The numbers are 656 not 666, and the numbers are refering to the Roman Emperor Nero, who was said to be the devil because of all of the Christians he was killing. The Apocalypse already happened. This is something else. Something bigger. Something higher.

Not sure, b/c MANY times before all throughout history, HUGE wars have erupted and everyone said that the end was near... HOWEVER, evidence may point toward that b/c not only are there armed conflicts, there are natural disasters like you wouldn't believe (esp. in Indonesia)... It seems that every week another natural disaster happens in Indonesia.. This day a tsunami, the next an earthquake... Even though signs point toward the end, there is only ONE who knows when the end will be, and that is God...

It seems likely, but no one can know for sure. These religious wars have been going on for thousands of years, whose to say it couldn't be in another thousand years?

When someone rises to power and signs a 7 year pact of some sort with Israel is when we need to start "worrying."
