It is supposed to be a formal wedding . I want to wear dressy slacks and a dressy top but my mom said I need to wear a dress to it. What kind of dress would be the best to wear.?

never wear white to a wedding, only wear black if it is a "black tie wedding", ask your parents if it is, they'll know. if its just a normal wedding then a light pastal colored dress that is just below the knees would look great, such as a light blue dress that isn't to revealling on top, make sure the straps cover your shoulders mostly and dont pick a dress that has a really busy print on it and dont wear panty hoes or stockings, bare legs are in, and always wear high heels, open toed or a rounded toe, just depends on the dress just dont wear the ones that have the straps coming half way up the leg...just follow these rules and you'll look great, trus me! :-)

any lite pastel colored dress ending just below the knee. i personally see nothing wrong with nice slacks, a pretty top and a fitted blazer/jacket/sweater but just make sure your comfortable and wear low heels if your not used to them

something formal yet casual.... well it depends on what kind of weddingit is... i think u should go to the White House.. its a store that sells white beautful casual dresses that would be perfect for ur wedding to attend
