Even Ganguly's nomination for the Rajiv Khel Ratna is surprising as the award is presented to the "most spectacular and outstanding performance" of the year.
Ganguly scored just 408 runs at 45.33 in eight Tests and 947 runs at 32.65 in 31 one-dayers. During the same period, Dravid scored 946 runs at 63.06 in 12 Tests and 1,025 runs at 38.42 in 31 one-dayers.
The Rajiv Khel Ratna was instituted by the government in 1991-92 and carries a cash award of Rs.500,000 ($11,500), a medal and a scroll. And this is sure for Dravid

Yeah why not.
If you take a fact, you must see the nature of the cricketer. Dravid has a good cricketing background. He is defensive, knows when to play shots just like Australian captain Ricky POinting. If both sides clash (hopes so not) in the ICC Champions Trophy '06 in India or at the WC 2007, then it will be one of the greatest clash ever.

no way... he hasn't achieved as such as sachin to be at his back in holding this award.. Sachin has made india to be listed in all the records. What dravid done is nothing that could make india to boast about it.. afterall this award should be given to one who makes india a world known once again in the area of games..
