I don't think advice works; people who give it out always seem to be trying to prove a point. I suppose a quote might count. In which case this
"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe. If you try it, you will be lonely often, and sometimes frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." - Friedrich Nietzsche

It is not wrong to do some serious thinking and arrive at unusual conclusions. Those unusual conclusions may be true as strange as they may seem; thinking like this could save you; you may have a gift as a thinker. However, we do not want you to think so deep so that your thinking becomes unbalanced; that is where the danger is. Take care of your care.

"It's not having what you want. It's wanting what you've got"
(My aunt always tells me that. It's from "Soak up the Sun" by Sheryl Crow)

Also,
"Make the most of yourself, for that is all that you have of you!"
one of my teachers told me that, along with "Whether you think you can or you can't, you're right"
