Multi-tasking is not a gender specific issue. I know plenty of men who can multi-task, and plenty of women who can't chew gum and walk. The reason men don't see the need to showboat this talent is because of all of the insecure, uptight supermoms out there who feel the need to multi-task because they just can't keep up.

I think most women have the tendency to try to do everything and to try to please everyone. We're only human and we can only do so much. Try not to expect too much of yourself. Moms tend to want to be the best Mom, the best housekeeper, the best wife, etc... And it's even worse if you work. You want to do your best at your job also. You know, what matters the most, at the end of the day, if you've done your best and you've made sure that your family is loved, then you are Supermom!

CNA,
when you feel that way, look at your accomplishments
rather than what you did not have time to do.
Women have always been multi-taskers, and that is
why they are so very special.
Be proud of what you do, and
do the rest when you can.
Take some time off tomorrow just for yourself.
Be selfish for once.
Go for it!

Hell yeah we have ALWAYS been multi-taskers!! Don't feel bad about feeling like you can't keep up. I know I can't and am coming to grips with it. It is more important that your kid(s) feel like they were loved and always treated well. The dishes and laundry will not have their feelings hurt when you tell them "Later, I gotta go play with my kids. Then I'll wash you."

Current day society makes it seem like we have to do everything well! It is unreasonable to expect to be good at all of it-- especially when trying to do it all at the same time!!
Lighten up on you and cherish your feelings. If you're overwhelmed by being imperfect, you're already setting yourself up for disappointment. No one can do it all! You shouldn't have to feel like you are rushing to the finish line 24/7. Pick your battles and remember to focus your energies on only a few things at a time so you can do them WELL. :) good luck!
