When did your baby cut his/her first tooth?

i have a six month old and he is getting close but not quite yet. i met two moms that live near me and one said her baby cut her first tooth at four months, the other said her girl cut her first tooth at 11 months (almost 12)

a friend of mine's mother was born with a tooth. its rare but can happen....

just goes to show how different babies can be. i'll be interested in the other answers!

My daughter will be 6 months this Friday and has yet to cut her first tooth. I don't even see any signs that she is even close to tooth #1. On the other hand, I babysit another baby and he just turned 4 months old yesterday and is very close to getting his first tooth. I can see 2 bottom ones just below the gums. I think they say that around 7 months is average, but my brother didn't get his first tooth until he was 11 months!

My daughter at 5 months. But my friend baby didnt cut a tooth intil 13 months. Some come early and some come late.

All mine were fairly early. By 3 months usually. My youngest is 5 now and has lost 4 teeth already.

Some kids don't cut a tooth until 1, and sometimes don't lose their first until 7.

My son cut his first tooth at 3 1/2 months but my daughter didnt get hers til she was 11 months all babies are different...

my baby is 10 months and hasn't cut a tooth yet, my other kids cut around 5 months. it just depends on the individual i guess, when they're ready to cut they'll cut
