when a baby is born with a vail over its face

Some cultures consider it to be a sign of good luck. Western doctors seem to think it is a personal insult. All it *really* means is that the amniotic sac didn't break during labor, so it either breaks on its own or is broken after the baby is born. It protects her/him from infection, so it is actually a good thing. What did you want to know specifically?

I've never heard of a vail over a baby's face when born, but I've heard of a sack. That's when the water sack is covering the baby's head and must be removed as soon as possible at birth so that the baby doesn't drown from the water when it begins to take his first breath

Sometimes a piece of the amniotic sac sticks to the baby's head; it looks like the baby has a veil or hood over its head. In traditional folklore, this veil (or caul) is supposed to indicate that the child is 'touched' or imbued with supernatural power. The exact nature of this power varies depending on who's telling the story, but usually includes an unusual sensitivity to supernatural phenomena (like ghosts) and either precognition (seeing the future) or clairvoyance (seeing things that are far away).

In more recent decades, 'touched' has come to suggest mild insanity rather than psychic power; in fairness, the two may be hard to distinguish.

I was born under the veil myself and was always told it meant I was blessed by god and that I was gonna be lucky now I have never won the lottery or anything but I have been blessed in many situations. I delivered my twin children at 28 weeks and they suffered not one issue as a result.. I suffered a PE 18 days after that delivery, waited 24 hours before going to the ER ( thought it was back pain) survived all of that by the time I was 28 so. I would say Blessed Yes but I can not see ghost!! or tell your future. LOL ( if so I would have won the Lotto)

well in my family this means the child can see and talk to ghost, and forsee certain thing's, well it's true my neice was born with the black vail, she see's ghosts, spirit's what ever you want to call it, she's only 6 right now she's learning to deal with seeing people, she's confused because we teach her not to talk to strangers, but guess what these ghosts are strangers to her. so it's not a myth. the older generations were telling the truth about baby's born with vails over there face.

Yeah my brother was born with a veil over his face. I don't know if this has had any affect on him or not but I do know that he is in need of some serious prayer. He is an alcoholic, a drug addict, and several other issues he has right now. He may be losing his mind. He thinks he is constantly living in De Ja Voe (i know incorrect spelling) But anyhow, if you read this would you please send up a prayer to God for him... He really needs Jesus.

I was born with a veil over my face in 1977 on December 4...I was always able to forsee things about to happen..i also have a awareness of spirits that are around me...at times I can see, hear and feel both good and bad spirits...I have a deep concern for things that deal with religion or God...I have reoccurring dreams and visions of things that will happen in the future..i survived three house fires and gave birth to 7 children.I may not be rich but material things are not true blessings...I have learned what are true blessings really are....FAITH<<>>>and LOVE....are my blessings...

I was born with a caul in 1950 and was always told by my Mum and Grandmother that I would never drown. My caul was given to my uncle as he was a sailor in the Navy to keep him safe from drowning at sea.

This is when the skin of the placenta is over the babys head.
IN THE PAST THIS WAS SAID TO BE A SIGN THAT THE
