Knowing you are pregnant there is a LOT of things you will hear you need to do. And many of them, yes you need to do. But one you can do right away if you have not yet, is take your prenatal vitamins every day!!!! rest as much as you can, and be sure that you can deliver a healhty baby. It's all in your mind.
Power yourself by getting informed to the best of your possibilities about pregnancy, delivery, and motherhood. Knowledge is power.
Exercise in moderation and trust your motherly instinct when in doubt.
Congratulations!!!!!!!! Yes, it is painful to have a baby... but hormones help you to kind of forget and once you have your baby in your arms, it all fades. Is the best thing on earth!
Best wishes!!!!!!

I went to see the dr a month after I found out I was pregnant. The first exam is usually them getting the info from you and you getting the info from them anyways. They rarely do another pregnancy test if yours was positive.

I play competitive volleyball. When I got pregnant, my dr told me that my body would tell me when it was time to stop. I just couldn't do any more diving. Your body is used to the activity, and when you're pregnant, activity is good for you. I played volleyball until I was 8 1/2 months pregnant (I was a lot slower!!), and then I couldn't do it anymore.

As for delivery, everyone will tell you their "horror" stories. DON'T LISTEN!! I am not going to lie to you - it hurts. A lot. But I would do it again in a heartbeat to get my baby. When you see that little creature for the first time, everything is forgotten, and you just want to hold the little one and cry. It is truly one of the most beautiful moments (emotionally - physicallly, you will have your legs in the air, naked from the waist down, and have about 5 or 6 people there staring at you all sweaty and messy!) a person could ever experience. But the pain and the length is different for everyone. I was in labor for 25 hours (16 of which I didn't even know about). My sister was in labor for 2 (the ***** - I said that for everyone that had long labors:)!), so even within families it's different.

Let me tell you, everything you go through, it's all worth it!!!

Good Luck!

Make an appointment to see your doctor. You can ask all these questions and he/she will tell you how frequent your appointments will be. Generally you can do any activity you would do when not pregnant unless you have a problem pregnancy. I don't think bowling would be a problem until the baby gets bigger and you can't bend over to roll the ball. Go see a doctor right away and good luck to you! Also, get the book "What to Expect When You're Expecting", it details what is happening during each stage of your pregnancy and mey alleviate some of your fears.

Go see your doc as soon as possible. They will refer you to an ob-gyn. If you are active, you can still be active during your pregnancy up until the point it becomes uncomfortable. But, always discuss these things with you ob-gyn.

As for delivery, well grab a sledge hammer and pound your right foot (or left). That doesn't even come close. It's like cramps on crack. Just remember these four little words:

I WANT MY EPIDURAL!

Um Im in the military so its probably different for you but I had a preliminary appt where they drew blood and set up a folder for me. then they just told me when they wanted to see me. Bowling is fine i did it, just make sure you dont get hit with one. as long as you are comfortable do exercise all you want as long as you have a normal pregnancy. listen to your body if bowling gets to hard for you to do for long periods of time then limit it to one game or just a few frames. I swam all through my prgnancy. and having a baby isnt painful its the pre labour that killed me. i had front and back labour and the front labour was about like pmsing but the back was killer. But every woman is different. get some books on different birthing methods and find the one you like. water birthing is popular and you can look in to hypno-birthing or get a midwife or doula. its whatever works for you. This is your pregnancy, if you dont want to have drugs tell the dr, if you dont want to get cut during delivery tell the dr. just realx and have fun enjoy it, bc it goes by fast

You should definitely be seeing a doctor.
You should also focus more on how to provide for this child than on your damned bowling game. You should be exploring options for a job instead of having fun.
You should definitely reconsider keeping this child instead of putting it up for adoption if you haven't thought of these things yourself.
If you're so uninformed concerning a simple thing like a visit to the doctor what kind of parent do you think you're going to be? You should be thinking less about your own selfish desires and more about the safety and wellbeing of this child.

My doctor said if you did it before you were pregnant you can still do it as long as you don't over do it, and you think your body can handle it.. You and your body knows whats to much
