This will be my third cycle of taking clomid 50 mg. However, the last two I took it days 5-9. Are days 3-7 better?

I did. I have a 3 year old daughter who was a clomid baby. You have to find the right doctor, and don't adjust their instructions to what you think might be better. People's cycles are different lenghts, maybe he thinks yours are shorter.

We tried for 4 years to get pregnant and we kept switching doctors because we couldn't find one that could "commit" to helping us get pregnant. They would just halfass write a perscription and give very little instructions and didn't offer follow up visits. They just gave us the drugs and said "call for a refill if you get your period."

Then we found one that had a set "plan of action" for helping people get pregnant. (Dr. Eli Reshef In Oklahoma City.) I had to take pills to start my period (I never have one,) and then I think days 5-10 (This was 4 years ago, so it's fuzzy) I took one pill a day for those five days. He had me come back during my period (or when it should have been, because if you don't ovultate you don't have a period) so he could do an ultrasound to check for enlarged cysts on my ovaries, (a side effect of the clomid) and then he would write a perscription for the period starting medicine and a higher dose of clomid.

I eventually ovulated during the third month when I was taking 3 pills a day for 5 days, but I didn't get pregnant, and since I ovulated he didn't increase the dose. The next month I didn't ovulate on 3 pills, so he increased it to 4 pills a day for five days. After 5 months of treatment I got pregnant with my daughter.

I don't know the dose of the pills, but I assume they are 50 mg each so I guess it took 200 mg to make me ovulate.

I remember how expensive the pills were, it was like $10 a pill so it wasn't so bad at first just $50, but by the end it was like $250 a month for the perscription. It may be cheaper now, this was 4 years ago. I don't care, I would have paid anything.

I didn't have any side effects from the clomid except for cramping at the time of ovulation, but hey that lets you know it's working and it wasn't that bad.

One side note: 8 months after giving birth to my daughter I got pregnant with my now 18 month old son without even trying. He was free and a very big suprise!!

I genuinely have 2 females. With my first i finished taking delivery administration and before I had my next era found out i replace into pregnant. With my 2nd hubby replace into domicile from protection stress accountability for a pair of million a million/2 months and that i've got been given pregnant. we try for our third it is been just about 7months. 2months of clomid 50mg days 5-9 and nonetheless no longer pregnant. I even ovulate on my very own. So i think your discomfort. I have been given back in could they took me off the clomid to be sure if i'm going to get pregnant and if no longer there are some concepts. right it is a catalogue: Up the dose no longer up the dose and take it day 3-7. (days 3-7 produces extra eggs, Days 5-9 make the egg extra mature) there is yet another yet high priced that's thating the clomid and doing synthetic insemination which includes your husbands sprem ofcourse. yet human beings have pronounced with clomid it take atleast 3 cycles. ultimate of fortunate and various infant dirt to you!
