Always a road trip. Doesn't matter where I go or if I'm even visiting anyone - but it has to be at least a five hour drive away from home to qualify as a road trip. Sometimes my husband and I will drive down into Colorado if we've been getting snippy with each other, because for us, a road trip just makes everything all better. Grin. But I've done this long before we ever met, there's just something about driving down the highway that is so calming and restorative.

Turn off the cell phone, the beeper, the telephones, turn down the lights, lock the doors, turn off the television, and put on some soothing music. Now sit on your butt, close your eyes and relax. Oh yeah disconnect the doorbell and shoot anyone that knocks. After the bodies start to accumulate other will get the message.

Have a nice time. A very quiet friend is OK but nobody who likes to talk...

I pack a bag, gas up the car and hit the road with my other half. We make no plans other than to have fun. We are usually gone a week, sometimes two. Our last trip took us to New Mexico, where we saw mountains, wildlife, alien conspiracy theorists and wildlife. We stayed in a beautiful hotel with a grand view of the mountains. The wildlife was amazing. I went home feeling like a million bucks.

Go somewhere you never thought of going before, and do it without any major planning. Go as far as possible, and for at least 2 weeks. You only live once, and these kinds of experiences change your life. You will return a different person. The things that stressed you out before will no longer bother you.

i dont. i just go down this bike trail and sit by the river. just listening to the water roll gently. its relaxing. if im in miami, i go to the beach early in the morning when nobody is there. then i lay there. sumtimes i get up and dance. sumtimes i collect sea shells. when i feel a lil better, i call my friend and we practice our dance routine in the sand. it relaxes me when you slide ur feet through the sand and it raises, so you feel it on ur legs. then i also have somebody to laugh wit. he is really relaxing. everybody swears we r a couple, but we havent really established what we are. i have known him my whole life. SOOOOOOOOOOO basically i chill in the quiet and then sumtimes call my friend to talk to.
