And why would people want to deny that anyway? It's not like there's anything wrong with the world being round.

*ahem* satellite photographs. The camera doesn't lie. Well I guess nowadays it does with manips, airbrushing, etc., but we have pictures of the planet from times before that technology was around

I see bulletins at colleges for the Flat Earth Society or something that actually believes that. Those college hippies will believe anything.

Maybe I should correct that-they refuse to believe anything BUT the truth. Even some of those to-the-moons professors. *shudder*

Nobody I know, or have met, for that matter, believes the world is flat. Maybe you should quit hanging around morons.

Most people find it difficult to believe what they do not see.

I would never have guessed that the earth is round if I had not been told. It's a pretty amazing fact. Have you seen satellite pictures of the earth? It should convince most people.

I believe the earth is round, because I believe the evidence and the reasoning behind it.

Apparently some believe that the round earth theory is a government conspiracy.

We are probably spending too much time listening to those who deny facts like these.

I'm amazed at the number of holocaust denials on yahoo/questions and yahoo/answers. It does not matter how much evidence you present to those who deny.

They are caught in a "logic warp". The more evidence you present, the more they deny.

First of all, the only people who would believe that are people not plugged into technology, people who live under a rock, 3 year olds, and egregiously stupid buffoons.

It's been proven from photos taken from space by NASA, you can see the curvature of the earth at high altitudes as seen from photos taken by spy planes. Google it, I bet you find them.

If the Earth was flat, the moon and sun wouldn't rise or sink, they'd pass by like they were on a conveyor belt system.

In short, let them think what they think. You know it's stupid, you know they are just ribbing for a reaction. So ignore them and walk on.

I'm not so sure the evidence either way is proof of anything?
I've personally never sat back and seen the world as a sphere with my own eyes, have you?
