At our small theatre in town 15 cents and you could get a coke and popcorn for 5 cents each! They also had drawings for gifts from the town merchants!

I grew up on a military base - ticket 10 cents, pop-corm, chocolate peanuts, & a pop 5 cents each. so a quarter went a long way. Bowling was 15 cents a line.

I could get into the movies and buy a popcorn for less than 5 bucks.
I remember trying to get 2 dollars from mom to go see a movie. It was a buck something.
