My husband and I had a 2002 Honda Civic and a 2002 Ford Focus- the Focus went back to the shop about 10 times in the first 3 years, whereas my Civic didn't need any repairs- and had 3 times the miles.
The Focus has since been sold. The Civic, at 70K miles, still has had not one problem.

I beg to differ with you too. I have 250 Honda motorcycle and it is great never misses a beat and can go over the speed limit (illegally) without any trouble, I'm just saying that it can. I love and my next bike will be Honda too.

Let me guess, your last job was the Maytag repair man and you got bored from not having anything to do so you became an auto mechanic.... a Honda auto mechanic! Now your tools are gathering dust and the donuts are causing your body to absorb your chair. Get a chevy and I'm sure, absolutely sure, your mechanic lifestyle will change... dramatically.

I think Honda's are a dependable, excellent means of transportation. I would drive a Civic over a Focus any day.

Why are you dissing Hondas in the Honda section? You must know the loyalists are going to descend on you like wolves.

Honda has its good points and bad points. Personally, I would never drive one, because compared to Jaguar their build quailty and finish are atrocious. But they are reliable and hardy, and for the most part easy to repair--and very affordable for most people. The Japanese simply designed them to be disposable, which doesn't appeal to me at all.

FROM WHAT I'VE PERSONNALY SEEN, HONDAS ARE SOME OF THE BEST BUILT AND RELIABLE VEHICLES YOU CAN BUY. ALTHOUGH MANUFACTURERS DO MAKE MISTAKES AND SOMETIMES LEMONS ARE BORN. I'VE GOT MY MOM AND BOTH MY SISTERS DRIVING HONDAS AND ANY PROBLEMS THEY HAVE HAD HONDA HAS TAKEN CARE OF WITH NO TROUBLE.
