That is one evidence that all these faiths are originated from similar or same source. Now you watch the people of different cultures around the world. Even when one community was not aware of the existence of another community, they all worshiped an unseen power as their Creator or God - whatever you call. Is this not an evidence for the existence of God?

Now the reason for different religions are difference in our understanding and the natural changes that can happen to any faith. Even individuals personal experiences can influence the faiths and ways of worships. When passed through thousands of years - these changes are quite natural.

If you take a look at the actual recorded history of religion on this planet you will find a basic spiritual philosophy that goes back more than 10,000 years beginning with the first written records the Vedic Hymns or the Veda.
The Dhyana followed this appearing also in India. Dharma was a legendary Hindu sage.
Dhyana again means Knowing and Looking. The Veda, the Tao, the Dharma, all mean Knowing. They are all religious works. These are actually the religions of about two thirds of the population of earth.
We erroneously know about it as, and call it Buddhism in the Western World. The Dhyana is what the Buddhists talk about and is their background.
There were many Bohdis, or Buddhas. The greatest was Gautama Sakyamuni. A man the son of an influential king in Northern India.
He was looked upon as the founder of the Dhyana, but it existed quite a long time before he came along.Guatama Buddha was a great teacher, and scientific philosopher.
He wrote in Dharma-Parda:
"All that we are is the result of what we have thought. It is founded upon our thoughts. It is made up of our thoughts."
Buddhism spread by Guatama Buddha and his followers through India and into China and created a civilization where before there was none. Just a barbarism.
This is the same theme of Knowing and religious philosophy that appears in Asia Minor(Middle East) 500 years later at the beginning of our own date, 2000 years ago. When Jesus appeared on the scene.
Traditionally Christ is supposed to have studied in India. He isn't heard of until he is 30 years old, and he was a carpenter etc. There are many things said about the man. But there is this persistent legend that he studied in India. Two thirds of the worlds population had been civilised by this time in the East. Europe was still a barbarism.
Here in the Middle East this religious philosophy appears.
The principles known as Buddhism included those of, love thy neighbor, abstain from the use of force.
But these concepts travelled on other routes aswell.
The parables which are discovered today in the New Testament are discovered earlier, the same ones, elsewhere in many places.
The Egyptian Book of the Dead, which predates the NT considerably. this is , love thy neighbor, in effect "be civilzed".. abandon the use of force.. Moses is also saying this in the OT.
The Hebrew definition of Messiah is One who brings wisdom- teacher.
Messiah is from "messenger". Moses was one, and then Christ became such a one. He was a bringer of information. He never announced his sources. He spoke of them as coming from God.
But they might just as well have come from the Hymn of the Dawn Child from the Veda.
Anyway, there is much room for speculation as to the where's, what's who's exactly. But if you look from the veiwpoint of the known written works and the history or time line of this religious and spiritual thought, wisdom or knowlege, on this planet , you get an interesting perspective and an answer to your question.
Yes, you are right.... it's quite amazing!

It could be the rituals are copied by others and I don't speculate who did them first, however, I disagree with the premise that all religions preach the same things in different forms. They don't. Most religions are very different from each other. For example, Buddhism sees us part of the bigger whole. That is perhaps one facet of other religions, but not in the same way. Not all religions promote peace. The Islamic religion has from the beginning been antagonistic towards other religions, especially Christianity.
Muhammed himself killed many.

By contrast, Jesus Christ is the only religious founder who died to pay for the sins of mankind--specifically those who would accept his death as payment for their sins. He came as God incarnate (in the flesh) because there was no one suitable (sinless) to offer his life as a holy sacrifice to pay the penalty required by a holy God. "Christ died for sin, once for all; the righteous for the unrighteous..." Jesus never encouraged war or killing. He told his close disciple, Peter, to put up his sword when Peter fought the Roman soldier who came to take away his beloved Lord, saying, "He who lives by the sword, dies by the sword." Jesus was always looking out for others so completely. He was perfect in every way. Don't take my word for it. It is what God required, as God shows throughout the Bible.

To conclude, there will always be outward show of some devotion because it is inherent in mankind to worship. You think you don't?? Wherever you spend the most time, money, thoughts etc. there is evidence of your worship. There will your heart be. God wants your heart, unadulterated by whims, fettishes, addictions, given over to unworthy, temporal trivia. Einstein said it best, "The problem is man is relatively related to that which is absolute and absolutely related to that which is relative."

My 2 cents:
a) It surely proves the validity of same truth being talked by all.
b) Diversity of human race has great influence on written literature of religious scriptures. Since its an expression of thoughts of wisdom, it is bound to be influenced by the race, culture and general traditional environment that a religion has evolved though.

Yes it is so amazing but we all pray and preach to that very same God!
I believe in respecting every ones religion no matter what religion they have chose to believe in!
Rather there to fast or to slow or some don't believe at all that's the sad part the non-believers!
This is how i believe in God when he brings to me a Loving Friend and gives me another day to enjoy on God's Green earth as well!
Then i know there is a God to help me make my daily decisions on my goals ahead!
I trust in God as he has trust in me and you and everyone else Because we are all God's Children no matter what Religion we are!
May God be with you always and follow your Heart in God!

Every word of God is Pure;
He is a Shield to those who put their trust in Him!
Proverbs 30:5

And the Word became Flesh and dwelt among us,
and we beheld his glory,
the glory as of the only begotten Father,
full of grace and truth.
John: 1-14
my point here in no matter how we believe it is all to one God! but no 2 person believe in the same thing but it is meant to be surly given to the Highest of the almighty God!

God speaks to every human heart, so it is logical that the same themes would come up in every culture, but in different forms.

Because we are designed and created by only one God, hence, we can all have differing points on a lot of subjects, but ultimately, it all leads and ends to God alone.
