Liking to read makes you a winner. If you read non fiction think of all the things you learn and if you read fiction all the places you go and things you do in your imagination.

Absolutely good! And no, you are not a loser! As long as you're leading a "normal" social life and getting physical activity then there's nothing wrong with reading for fun. Most people probably sit in front of the TV, play video games, and/or do stuff on the computer for a few hours out of their day, anyway. Reading is a good thing, fo' shore. :)

It is good, very good. I've seen it all through history, In high schools, you have the Jocks (the football players etc who don't read) and you have the nerds as some are called and the book worms. In later years, I've seen 99% of the jocks end up on skid row (1 out of 100 will make something of himself), and as for the book readers, well, let's see, I have a friend Phil, who downs $140,000 a year working for IBM, I have another friend Philip who is a Sheriff, another guy I know is a mortician and owns his own funeral home, Then of course there is GENE SIMMONS of KISS, who use to be a school teacher ( I don't even have to go there do I?), then there's Bill Gates, etc. etc. etc. You get the picture? There's an old saying "knowledge is power", and it holds true. Read all you can. Read everything you see and read everyday, Most people I know who are readers, tend to have a more selection of friends, tend to accomplish more, and tend to stand out in crowds in a good way. Might I even recommend some good books for you?

THE LIVING BIBLE ( Aside from the Spiritual blessings, the Bible has romance, action, comedy, horror, suspense, and drama. It is a fantastic story book, even if you don't believe in what it says. Plus reading the Bible might help you win a contest sometime. I've noticed tons of Bible questions on WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE, and other game shows.

That depends on what you read. If you're reading what amounts to junkfood for the brain, then I'd say you're wasting your time. But that's my opinion. Of course spending all your time reading about humanity's rise and fall but having no-one to discuss it with could also be considered a waste of time. I suppose what I'm getting at is that worthwhile reading is good to share. Then again, I enjoy philosophical debate.

What's wrong with reading. Reading opens the world to you and improves your language at the same time. But try to restrict yourself from reading too long a day. It's bad for your eyes.

No, I think it's great! I wish more kids your age would read more. You learn so much even if the stories aren't true because they have to do research on the areas they are writing about. Try reading the "Joshua" books by Joseph Girzone. They are wonderful!

i think it is good. that means ur smart, and intelligent. my boyfriend hates to read and i love it. we fight about it all the time. reading isn't bad at all. just make sure you don't go to the library more than once a week or else you might reconsider being a loser. :)
