It means that you don't remember them, or that you quickly fall into the deepest realms of sleep.

There's just not enoughinformation here. How much sleep do you get? Are there any substances (legal or otherwise) that you use regularly that cold effect your sleep? Is there anything your diest is missing, especially those nutrients related to proper functioning of the nervous system? Has someone else verified an actual lack of REM sleep? If not, how can you be sure you don't dream - you could simply not remember your dreams?
And I'm not sure what sleeping with your eyes open means. Do you fall asleep with them open? Do they open after you fall asleep, and if so, how much? You're just not giving enough to work with, nor do I think this is the best place to get advice about such things.

You might need to have your psychology teacher checked. Ask for documentation of that statement. You dream when you get into REM sleep. And REM sleep is deep restful sleep. Do you have any breathing problems? Are you really tired? People who use CPAP for sleep apnea dream more than they did before they had CPAP -- I know. I read or saw something about sleeping with eyes open just recently -- the person taught himself to do it. I think it was to make others think he was still awake so they would leave him alone.

Everyone dreams, even animals dream, you just don't remember... the alarm thing probably would work as long as you will have been asleep awhile before it wakes you, where as it would be wakening you once you are in a deep sleep/called rem sleep/which is when even the most focused people dream. Those less focused can dream in lighter phases of sleep, even have what we call daydreams.

If you set your alarm to wake up very early, then go back to sleep, you will dream. It's true. Whenever I wake up in the middle of the night, then return to sleep, I will have long dreams.

You are not reaching REM sleep, which is the stage of sleep that dreams occur in. You need more rest.

You could just not be remembering them, or you don't get into the deep (REM) sleep that you need to to have dreams

Many people simply don't remember their dreams because they sleep deeply. Your teacher has no business scaring his students.
