yes, as it has for millenium...before...
mass extinctions, also give way to different species' population,
such as the dominance of mammals after the dino extinction
it may be, simply...our turn to leave the planet...and another species turn to dominate...such as the insects....
our planet itself, is alive....life will continue here...in the most hostile environments...but it may not be what we are used too.
