It depends on a lot of different things, who is involved in the spooning, what is the context of the spooning, and so forth. If there is nudity involved or if there is some other sort of sexual acts then yes, it's sexual. But if it's just two people watching a movie (or whatever) totally clothed, with no other sexual contact, then I'd say it's not. It all just depends on the context of the spoon.

Are you spooning with your sister? Someone else? If someone else are they same sex? How long does the spooning last? What are you thinking while spooning? Is it different if two sisters spoon? Do you want and think about more than spooning? And more? Do you discuss spooning with the spoonee? Is having thoughts like this bad? normal? good? And what makes it bad, normal or good? If you spoon for hours do you get 'blue spoons"? Does spooning make you wanna fork?

When I'm spooning the kiddie glob into my little son's mouth it's innocent.
However when I was "spooning" his mother a long time ago, the spooning was innocent but the intention was totally carnal.

That depends.
If you lay down and put your arm over your child in a spoon position for comfort on a stormy night, that would be innocent.
If you are snuggling your hips back against your partners "good thing" and basically trying to get closer and closer to "check his temperature", so to speak, then that would be sexual.
It's all in the attitude and motives.

I eat my Chunky Soup with a spoon, and while i might find it an enjoyable experience, i receive no sexual gratification from it at all.

sexual.....but comfortable. Now that I'm married its just comfortable.....innocent now that I think about it. It was sexual while dating though.
