I have no idea I have wondered the same for many years. If I had of had a handfasting instead of a wedding my grandparents wouldn't have even come. My mom's only complaint was the time line for a handfasting compared to a wedding not being so invilved. I had a wedding, maybe when we renew our vows we will have something more Wiccan based as it does not seem to bother my husband at all. Have you ever noticed that unless you believe in the Christian god Mormons will hound you and try to convert you as well? They drive me insane as well.
We are all born innocent no matter what religion, beliefs or orientation we have. I fully intend to expose my son to different beliefs and he can choose which one is right for him. I can't tell him that because mommy is Wiccan you are going to be raised Wiccan as well or because daddy is Christian that you will go to sunday school every week and be baptized.

I'm a Christian and I don't think Wiccans are Satanic. Satanists are Satanic. Wiccans worship the earth and mother nature.
Satan is not actually something that the Christians thought up. All most all religions have a great adversary in them. The Satan we think of today came from a book called Dante's Inferno. But if one reads the Bible then they would discover Satan as the adversary of Jesus not just a red guy with a pitch fork.
I am sorry that Christians have "inflicted" Jesus on people. But let me explain why they do. One they are instilled with a fear that if they don't convert some one that person will live in eternal damnation and lets face it no one really wants to hear their family is going to hell so they freak out and over emphasize.
People have the wrong perspective on Jesus. I think what needs to happen is to read what Jesus says about himself and how he acts. To be able to have a balanced perspective of Jesus one must know him as a person and discover for them selves who he is.
Who do you think Jesus is?
Does this help? Let me know if you have more questions I am happy to answer.

Well, the Christians you are referring to are probably few and far between...BUT...they are the ones that stick in our craw the most. There are probably at least 20 other Christians per one of 'those'.
Anyway, I don't think Christians are targeting Wiccan's in particular...the Christian faith teaches that Jesus is the only way to God and everything else is of the world...ie...Satan's dominion. Our time on earth is relatively short compared to eternity, so we have a choice...we can spend eternity with God or without him (ie 'hell')
Jesus should not be an 'infliction'...he would not wish it to be so. As a Christian, I am to tell you about Jesus with a spirit of love, not one of judgement and condemnation. I am not suppose to cram it down your throat. I should be demonstrating to you the power of Christ through my everyday actions and treatment of others. But Christians are fallable just like anyone else, and although the motivation may be right, the delivery may be all wrong.

Good question. Some of them are that way because they have never studied other religions. I do not consider Wicca to be satanist, though I am a Christian. I know what Wicca truly is though. It's not dangerous until you walk away from it, which is what I did. I was Wiccan (kind of) for six years. Or at least, I practiced witchcraft, incorporating Wicca into my beliefs. I haven't been into it for four years, but Christians and witches alike see the mark on me.

Most people judge stuff they do not know. I actually prefer Wicca to Xianity. And when I asked a friend that is Wiccan about more info she loaned me some books and that was it. Now try something like that with a Christian. Your even afraid to ask, because then you will never hear the end of it.

First off, I'd like to stress that I do not believe wiccans are satanic, and I am a christian.
According to the traditional church dogma, people who havent heard the word of god would suffer in hell, since their original sin was not cleansed by the death and rebirth of christ . The problem with this 'idea' is that it was a very convenient means for the church to expand its power and territory by declaring those whose lands they coveted as infidels and pagans and waging wars on them.
The current breed of 'Christians' who try to force jesus upon you are a misguided bunch of worshippers who genuinely believe what they are doing is right because it was the way of the church.
Wiccans are considered satanic by them because traditionally 'witches' are capable of magical acts of healing or cursing according to lore.Since this power is not from god, they errorneously conclude that it is from satan.
Hope this answers your question :)

Oh twenty points for using the word "inflict". I guess in the span of time we are just fresh out of the dark ages and they really haven't worn off yet.

"Scientists" attack Christianity and "Christians" attack technological know-how. How can technological know-how be used to attempt non-repeatable phenomena. Did "guy" exist 7,000 years in the past? It relies upon on the way you define "guy." in case you define "guy" as somebody who can checklist background, the respond could desire to be "no." whilst i replace into attending college, an prolonged time in the past, C-14 relationship replace into called an "absolute" relationship approach and constrained to 50,000 years in the past. Now it is seen a relative relationship equipment. It has alway been seen as such with the aid of physicists and extends previous 60,000 years. C14 is created with the aid of bombarding the nitrogen unfastened on the appropriate of the ambience with cosmic potential. If there is way less unfastened nitrogen, there is way less C14 created. much less C14 in an merchandise exhibits an older age. technological know-how does not attack something. the 2nd it does, it ceases to be technological know-how. Scientists who take facets like that turns into clergymen of "technological know-how" particularly than observers of experiments and technological know-how is all approximately repeatable technological know-how. right it is the weak point of all relationship structures. no person has ever examined them for 2 hundred,000 years... or perhaps 60,000 years. the concept the forces that govern those structures are static is without evidence. Even the seen time has its limits. without mass/gravity, time does not exist, in accordance ot Steven Hawkings. yet, then, the Biblical relationship is likewise in line with assumptions with the aid of some nineteenth century bishop. How long is an afternoon if the earth does not rotate on the challenge of the solar... or if there is no solar. Then there is the challenge of randomness. If a pail of ice all of sudden began to boil, could or no longer it is a miracle or an twist of fate of threat? technological know-how could say it replace into an twist of fate of threat probably purely to ensue as quickly as in 1000000000000 trillion buckets of ice. faster or later, that that's threat and that that's supernatural attain a nexus.

convert so many innocent people?
you talk as if its a bad thing that we're trying to convert..and even so, we don't even try to convert all the time.
and can you really call them 'innocent' before we do try and teach the word of God to them?
