When I got mine done it hurt differently (but not worse) than the pericings on my lobes. It was more of a pinch that lasted a little longer than the quick sharp pain of a lobe piercing. Then it hurt almost like a pinch and bruise at the same time for several days.
Mine got infected too. No matter how hard I tried, I kept getting strands of hair wrapped around it and I think that is why it got infected. It was a terrible infection, I finally got the earring out, let the infection clear for a few days and put it back in. I haven't had a problem with it since. I don't even know it's there now.

It didn't hurt any more than my lower ears but it didn't heal as fast and no matter how much I cleaned it, it would keep getting infected. I must have suffered for about a year with the thing before I took it out to do some job interviews and I just never put it back in. I liked how it looked and I got compliments but the infection was so painful and made it hard to sleep at times.

I would go to a tatoo partlor where they use a needle. Don't get it done with a peircing gun - that just sets you up for "ouchie."
It doesn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. My cartiledge was the first and only thing I ever got peirced. I mean, you feel it, but it doesn't hurt as bad as you'd expect while you're getting it done. What hurts more is when you sleep on that side of your head for the next few days. The actual peircing is not traumatic.

that's the thing with piercings.. they don't hurt that much.. i mean ... it's a short pain.. LIKE when someone pinches(typo?) you for about1 quick second and that's all folks. TRy not to touch it when you're hands are dirty and try to keep the earing in the hole if not it might close and you're likely to get an infection. a ball of infection.. YUck. I pierced my nose and my ears(my ears when i was 13) it doesn't hurt! i just found this picture online of some person.. but i hear that the piercing in the middle to the right hurts a lot!!!!!!! so yea.. do it do it :) get it pierced don't be scared.. there are much more things that hurt more than getting pierced.. you'll feel your ears get warm and it won't hurt.. try not to irritate your ear after you get them..

it depends on your tolerance of pain. I have mine done & it barely hurt at all, I have nine peircings in my ears. It pretty much feels the same as the lower ear, if you can deal with how that felt then you should be fine.
Good luck!!

It really shouldnt hurt too bad. If it does, it could be infected. It should feel kind of like a bee sting. Be sore for a few days. I have 6 in my ear, 1 libre, and 2 in my tongue. It shouldnt hurt too bad.

I had mine done and it didn't really hurt-just burned a little. Loved the way it looked. Just don't sleep on that side for a little while, that hurts.
