Globalization is the inevitable result of our high tech communications developments. On one hand, it will probably result in people knowing more about other nations. On the other hand, it will also result in the mixing of the nations. This may tend, in the long run, to weaken the identities of individual countries. But then, change is the inevitable result of history anyway.

Globalization is a cause and effect situation, mainly in economics that do have influence in other spheres like education, religion (global religions?), and mass media.
Is already having effects in individuals, they want to consume what they see in different stores, but there is an opportunity to learn from different cultures, from different ideologies too and life styles. Is not like copy someone, is like understanding that person why he or she is doing that, some kind of justification and that makes values relative.
But globalization as I see it is a value in a multicultural world, there are positive and negative aspects, one of the negative is that young people may not be strong in their values and trade his or her own value for another, diversity is not bad, could be good but there is certain staages and levels where individuals should keep their own firm values, and one of them is their identity.
I believe in a global identity, is someone with open mind and soul to learn from different cultures, tolerate and respect them, that doesnt mean to agree or accept everything is donde. Through the internet is easy to share personal values and also experiences, and identity is an experience that is growing and evolves with time.
Sometimes you can see people "buying" identities, immitating them , they just want to find their own and sometimes they take some parts of fragments from others, this is perfectly normal and natural in human behavior where immitatio is a key role in the learning process.

In the particular case of Mexico (an in a lot of countries), globalization is standardizing people, now all young people want to "dress better" and become like a rock star, they know all about the simple life of all stars... all the pop culture is making people lose not only their national identities... also they're losing their identities as independent unique human beings....

Globalization will certainly require learning about the World and how it works. I may not be very comfortable for those elements that want a tribal society or have a regional view. The whole purpose that this experiment is being tryed is to equalize the standard of living all over the world. It does not mean taking from the rich to give to the poor is just allows everyone to use the skills they have.

globalization in one way is very very good. it will unite the entire human kind, at least theoretically. it should open that imaginary boundary that we have among us. it should wash away the harm full nationalism from our brain. but the present globalization is in no way good for anything. becoz the basis of this globalization is profit. its been devised just to spread the market of the multi national companies so that they earn more. in this present process of globalization money is more important than humanity.
