Question about gastric banding..?

Does anyone know anything about gastric banding. Is it as dangerous as gastric bypass? How much does it cost?

I don't really know much about it. I know that operations are not a guaranteed solution. Some people with severe eating disorders find a way to still eat enough to maintain or even gain weight. The bypass is more dangerous, but more permanent solution. The band will need to be adjusted several times.
