would you vote for a woman president just because she is a woman or would you vote for her because there has never been a woman president, and last but not least would you vote for a woman to be president because you think her issues that she will fight for would be right for this country and why?

I would vote for a woman if she was best qualified for the job and that may happen sooner than I think. I think so many issues affect all of us that a woman could do the job as well as a man. I am a man and I admired Margret Thatcher from England. I think she did a fair job during tough times. Also a tough cookie was Madeline Albrecht , she had the where with all to stand toe to toe with foreign dignitaries and hold her own well.

I would vote for a woman to be president, if I thought she was the right person for the job, by the issues. However, that person will NOT be Hillary. I would not vote for a woman president just because of her gender or to make a historical first. I feel the same way about minority people. I would vote for a black person if I thought he or she was the right person for the job.

I vote for a person because I think they are best for the job. A woman running for the sake of having a woman run will not get my vote. The presidency is for the leader of the nation, not a chance to make a social statement.

I would vote for a person who is qualified and represents what is best for this country. She would have to have an IQ over 91! I think if one runs she must be smarter than Condi Rice, who as Sec of State hasn't even been to the Middle East to negotiate for a cease fire!!
She should have been there early on and maybe some of this could have been averted. Why would anyone put her in that position??? For a person who has a doctorate she isn't very bright!!! Maybe there were other qualities that Bush liked!!

IF she were qualified and I believed she could do the job I would vote for a woman in a second.
The last woman I felt was qualified was Elizabeth Dole. A shame her party didn't agree.
Ms. Clinton is an absolute big NO! NO! in my book.
Consider now that I refuse to vote party lines. Such is utter foolishness. Your vote should be cast for the one man or woman that most generally exemplifies the way you would vote on general issues, regardless of party.

I would vote for a women as President if she was the person running who I think would be best at the job and up hold the rights and freedom of the American people, or if she was the less of two evils.

I would only vote for someone if I believe they are the best option for the country at that point in time: are their beliefs right, would they fight for the right issues, would they stick to their guns, etc. In the end, my candidate may lose, but at least I'll know I made the right choice. And if that choice just so happens to be a woman, so be it.

i vote for the person whom i think will hold out longest before becoming crooked. if that were a woman then yes i would. but i wouldn't vote for her just because she was a woman nor because there has not been a woman president before. If her agenda and ideas matched what i personally believe should be the agenda and ideas for the leader of our country then she would get my vote.

I also whould look at their career in poltics to see if they keep to their word. Also i would not vote for a woman just cuz there never has been one.
