i know theres a billion other subjects regarding this buty check this out anyway.
The universe is infinite. it has no end. which means that there are quadrillions and billions and billions of planets, correct? what makes us as humans believe we have the right to say we are the only form of life in the universe when there are millions of planets that can and do possess life in their atmospheres? think about that and tell me there isnt life on another planet somewhere.

eagleflyer it has happened. just because you dont know of the life on other planets dosent mean its not there. to quote "the santa claus"-"youve never seen a billion dollars have you? just because you havent seen it dosent mean its not there."

i think what too many people assume by what im saying is that they have to be civilised have a language or even space travel.
to me "intelligent life" dosent even imply sentience. just a form of being with a mind. and thought. even if we found...say...an insect of some sort on another planet it is intelligent life. it has a mind and goes about its day thinking and doing things.

Even with the excellent conditions on this planet, there's no INTELLIGENT life, so what makes you think other planets will have?

If there are other planet's there has got to be some form of life on it. But the assumption that they are intelligent would be debatable. If they really were so smart, would we not be having a few visitors in the student exchange coming from say Mar's. On the other hand the Earthling's are also not so smart, taking that, though man landed on the Moon over 30yrs ago, we have not done any progress since then. Either the entire Moon landing is fake or we just had a lucky streak.

It is most likely there is life on other planets. However it is likely that most life in the universe is quite simple, sort of like blue, green algae. There are likely to be lots of places with complex life too. It is not difficult to imagine that planets would have dinosaur or insect like creatures on them for billions of years. It is however probably very rare for sentience or intelligent technological intelligence to occur. There could be small groups of creatures that have a culture but don't develop technologically further. You may interested in something called the Fermi Paradox for further information. well , in science anything which is not proved is a theory.
uptill now, there has been almost no discovery but hey there is a possibility. the ancient paintings of ufos in Australia , the crop circles and innumerable reported sightings might be pointing to something.
some believe there is a cover up by the govt.s and some say its just fantasy.
but nothing can be said as of now!

are you talking about intellegent life? Because if youre talking about aliens and crap like that I think we have been alive longenough to know they would have tried to contacted us, not crash like we all think happened in roswell. They would have tried to see what the hell we are if it existed. But "life" on other planets thats truely believable. isnt a water molecule almost the sign of life? what about oxygen? and nitrogen and carbon and all those great things scientists have already found. there is life out there, we humans are just looking for some crazy *** monster we have all seen in movies and not paying attentions to ceels and molecules. Humans suck

Yes, there is......given all things being equal.
In one way, you would hope that there is intelligent, sentient life on other planets in the Universe (even in other dimensions, spacetimes etc)......because there's a severe lack of any intelligence on this planet!!!

I'm the choir and you're the preacher. Sure, the universe is bound to luck out at some point, intelligent life-wise, somwhere, somewhen. Hasn't happened yet as far as I can tell.

I would like to quote the movie Contact. If there's no life on other any other planets, it would be an awful waste of space.

Firstly, the universe is not infinite and it does have an end.
Secondly, there little doubt that there is intelligent life other
than ourselves in our universe.
Probably lots of it and probably a lot of it is a lot smarter
than we are..
Note that there are lots of lots used in this answer..
