All of it revolves around religion. From the beginning of time man has fought for the Gods of their world. People have starved, killed and maimed others all in the man of their Gods. While there has been a change in times the thyme stays the same. Some people will focus on Muslims, but it is only some Muslims that believe this way. Christianity, Judaism, and Islam all play their equal parts in the pain around the world. But the worse part about all of it is not that they believe in different Gods, but they are fighting over which one of their writings about God is true. For the mention of the lack of education, it has nothing to do with general education but religious education, which should not be a factor in political areas at all. And that is where the other problem comes in, if religion was removed from the government, then most wars would stop. Governments should not be allowed to fight over religion.

Conflicts involving religion are responsible for more deaths than all other wars, disease, old age and accidents throughout all of history combined.
Hunger and poverty eventually are overcome in afflicted areas although they may surface and become an issue somewhere else. Conflicts involving religion do far more damage because the issue is never solved. Religious beliefs that conflict with other religious beliefs cannot be resolved simply because the religion does not allow it- the point of view is inflexible and rigid and does not accept opposing thought.
Solving hunger and poverty is possible and has been done, if only temporarily. Hunger and poverty has indeed been the source of problems and sometimes even the underlying cause of some wars but any struggle to solve a conflict between opposing religious beliefs is absolutely futile and pointless. These problems have never been solved without the total eradication of one of the opposing groups- history has shown us this and it cannot be disputed.
The only thing that has ever resulted is a hybrid religion or an ongoing conflict. Every resulting hybrid religion inevitably conflicts with the religions that conceived it and the end result is the same.

Unfortunately religion.

In this day and age, I wish we could ALL just move on and stop letting ancient beliefs that have been disproven by science tear us all apart.

In america especially, I wish we would stop voting on bible issues as well.

did you know that more people have fought, killed, and died in the name of their god than any other reason on earth since the dawn of time?

enough is enough people....

There is no old guy with a beard sitting in a chair watching us. There was no virgin birth. Allah is not controlling anything. Abraham never spoke to god.

Religion was invented to answer questions that science couldn't. It was also invented as a way to teach people to be good to eachother.

I don't care what religion u are - its time to get over it, wake up, move on - and most of all - STOP KILLING FOR IT!

I would have to say none of the above.I think the whole cause is a lack of education.example. Muslims that memorize the Quran but do not study it or understand it.Christians that hate others because they have never read or understood the bible. African witchdoctors telling HIV infected men to sleep with 50 virgins to be cured.Hate due to bigotry, bigotry due to ignorance.Hunger and poverty are mostly caused by war.War is mostly caused by religion gone wild due to lack of education.

Mostly religion is a major factor, look at history.
Greed and stupidity is partially to blame. "We" as a human race are in deep trouble, with war being a major factor and the other is happening with great ferocity; the climatic behavior of our world. Baby, you haven't seen nothing yet!

None of the above factors may affect seriously. Poor and hungry is helpless. People are more sane on religious issues.
Concentration of power and desire to use it for benefits of their benefit without caring for moral values is one factor. The other factor is lack of belief in political struggle. South Africa is an example to prove that political will is more powerful than gun.

Greed and Religion are the main factors in world peace. Satan is the one creating all this confusion.

Neither. I think that the primary factor involving world peace right now is distribution of dwindling natural resources and personal pride in our world leaders.

Peace!

Egos and political exploitation... not letting people be, expansionism and dominance... we have enough food in the world but we dont want all to have it with dignity. We cant live as a divided community... all have to care and be conscerned about all.

Right now, religion is playing a bigger factor. The Muslim population is outraged at the United States for trying to push Christianity on them. The Muslim population is mad at Israel for being in their land, Israel is mad at the Muslim population because they believe they are trying to take their land from them, and the United States are mad at the Muslim nation for terrorism on our land. Right now, I don't believe we are practicing freedom of religion in our on country....
