Most pro-abortion arguments focus on instances of rape, incest, potential for maternal injury, etc. The thing is, this only applies to a small percentage of cases. So here's my question - should completely arbitrary abortion be legal? (meaning that the child was conceived during consentual sex, no birth control mechanism failed, and the child is not a threat to the mother's life, although it may be a financial or emotional burden)

Personally I think that it should be illegal. Why do it if you know the consequences. I also think that just because the parents of an innocent life are irresponsible doesnt make it right to commit murder to your own flesh and blood. I think ALL abortions should be illegal. There are other options such as adoption. Tons of familys cannot concieve while women just choose to kill their hopes and dreams. All I ask is why? Also if you ask any of the Pro-life representatives who (some are women who have had abortions and turned pro life) have had an abortion they feel guilty for taking that innocent life. Thats all I have to say about this subject

I dont know how seriously my opinion would be taken because of my personal feelings in the matter. But I think that if a woman has an arbitrary abortion there should be some sort of consequence for her actions. I think government sanctioned hysterectomy would be a little extreme but easily justified.

No, it should NOT. Life is precious. If the pro-abortion side REALLY believes that it is not a life, then why do they continually say that it should be "legal, safe, but rare." If it isn't a human life, who cares how many abortions happen? And WHY can someone be convicted of 2 counts of MURDER if he kills a pregnant woman? It's either a life or it's not. You cannot have it both ways. (BTW...it IS a life!)

Yes because women are going to get abortions anyway & at least the mother won't bleed out or die from infection

But how do you enforce this rule if you create it? How do you prove WHY a woman had an abortion, not just that she did have one, if you want to ban, not all abortions, but only some?

i don't believe in abortiona at all. If you don't want to have a child plan and simple don't have sex..or birth control or condoms. It's not the unborn childs fault

No, they should not. It's not the baby's fault that his/her parents are irresponsible. Sometimes in life things happen, but you have to live with the consequences without committing murder.

You used the word arbitrary so what does it matter? The person could always get pregnant again and again so what does it matter?
