Kill the ants by placing some NutraSweet out for them.

Peppermint or spearmint..... just use a few drops of the oil in a squirt bottle full of water. Mist around where the ants are coming inside.
Don't use essential oils full strength and don't get it on your skin --they can be very irritating.

This is not an essential oil but I spray fabric cleaner like "Spray and Wash" or something equivalent and the ants will die in their tracks. This is great!

Peppermint. It works wonders.
You can soak gauze strips in it and put them against the doors and along windows, or you can just wipe the areas down with the oil, it works just as well as the strips and is much easier on the eyes!! (Also, the latter is the better choice if you have kids or pets.)

A two foot wide trench of 10w30 used motor oil around you entire house should solve all of your problems.

Cinnamon works well on keeping ants away. Also patchouli, which works on most verminous bugs.

Oh! And don't use the first guys advice. Kerosine? Are you serious? How would you like to label your home, "Caution! Flammable fumes" Ahh, to dangerous.
I'd stick with anything that doesn't have the potential to burn.

put ho-hoba and ylang-ylang oil all around the place then they will all kick back and smoke their bongs..... no ants in the house they will be too laid back and relaxed.
