There's a difference between being newsworthy and being on the sexual predator web-site.

Newsworthy is a subjective term.

An individual's name can circulate through the media for a variety of reasons. A couple that come to mind are:

public relations people
anyone that wants to keep a name active so that it doesn't stray too far from the public eye can post on web sites, chats, etc....

It's a distraction. Hello? Why isn't anybbody reporting on the fact that our government still hasn't resolved the "Katrina" issue? Open borders in the south? Because those in control don't want you to think about how f*@#'d up conditions here are getting.

That's why MJ is still in the news. Not because he's a freak - there are plenty of freaks to go around. Wake up America. Smokescreen.

as a laugh: cause its not hard to believe these days that men can be women and women can be men, but its still hard to see that a black man can be white.
as something serious: cause at one time he was almost as good as elvis and people are still charging him with child molestation and noone can let it die. hes a good laugh to the news media and michael jackson could sneeze funny and the news would be all over it cause its something else he did wrong. hes just a ledgend for....what it is he did im not too sure. but hes just another face to look at and another story to cover on the news (its something different besides the war, be happy about it. atleast its not sad...)

Because he's a freak and freaks are ALWAYS newsworthy. Specially during ratings sweeps.

Because he is an easy target for the media, because he is a little strange people will believe any bad thing that the media makes up about him! So he's a little odd.....most geniuses are!!

All of the above are good answers, my answer is that the news media sees tens of thousands of people flocking around where ever he goes, and they get hundreds of thousands of email, and thousands of phone calls inquiring about him. So good or bad, they are going to broadcast what ever they know about him.
