If you get a window air conditioner a 5,000 BTU one should work (about $200) you will need a power inverter (about $25) to run the 120volts you will need. Use a level and make sure that it tilts outward a half of a bubble level in order for the natural condensation to run outside of the car and not into the interior. Man you will be the coolest cat with this setup guaranteed!

Check J.C. Whitney. They might have a kit. Beware. It's a difficult installation, and if you have it done it will cost you about 1500 bucks or so. It's not just as simple as putting in the parts. You will likely need a new radiator, and a cable guy's buttcrack full of new parts. Then you have to charge it with refrigerant. Like somoene said, it would be cheaper to buy a car that already has it, even if it doesn't work and you have to get it fixed.

If I can buy a Caddilac Pickup truck, then anything in the re-engineering of a motor car is feasible.
Chevy,GM? Grab a AC unit off a 1988 Chevy Malibu, or 1988 Chevy Caprice, get all the Frame and Hanger parts, bolt it on and zoom!

It can be installed in any car. You just need to shop around and then decide if it's worth it based on the overall condition and life left in the vehicle vs the cost, which can vary several hundred dollars from car to car.

No. It cannot be installed. The motor mechanics who will claim that this can be installed are simply aiming to earn money from you. So don't be a fool. Although you are already a big fool, rather a bloody fool who is misusing this inter net facility. You should not ask such stupid questions and waste your and other's time. Just contact a nearby motor airconditioning workshop.

You're dealing with toyota parts, and the car is 18 years old, so it would be expensive to do. You'd probably be better off trading it off for something else. Advertise that it gets good milage.

AN 88 CHEVY NOVA WOULD LOOK PRETTY ON FIRE ROLLING OFF THE SIDE OF A CLIFF BUT OTHERWISE IT'S NOT WORTH DUMPING MONEY INTO. JUST DRIVE IT UNTIL YOU CAN AFFORD TO BUY SOMETHING ELSE WITH A/C.
