my parents have dishnetwork in their room but I dont.I recently got some dish boxes at a yard sale,do all I have to do is run a cable wire from their dish box to my dish box to get dish in my room?I know that I will have to watch what they watch but I dont care.

Even if you have a dish box you will have to obtain a coded card for the box to work. The coded cards are a security device supplied by disk to prevent pirating. The disk company updates the codes periodically if you don't get the update you don't get dish.
If you just want to watch the same thing in your room you can split the output signal with a cable splitter, but it seems easier to just watch TV with your folks it can't be that bad.
By the way unless the dish box was sold to the person at the garage sale by Dish they are probably not lawfully obtained. Dish leases their boxes they do not typically sell them. I would be beware.
