No, I do not think almost every person has contemplated suicide. I do think, however, that it has occurred to almost everyone at some point in their young lives that it is within their power to take their own lives. It's a natural extension of exploring ones independence.

Now, since you asked, yes, I've contemplated suicide. Any number of times over the years, dieing has seemed a very attractive option. The first time was in 1970 when I was 21. Twice since then I have had a pistol to my head with the slack squeezed out of the trigger. Fortunately, I've never been brave enough, or stupid enough, to go through with it. The problem, it turns out, is that I'm bipolar, but wasn't properly diagnosed until '97. Since then I've only had the idea once, and that was because I had gotten off my medication.

Sorry if that's more than you wanted to know, but you asked.

I think it's almost a psychological fact that every single person on earth thinks about suicide at least once in his/her lifetime. It's just a part of human nature, for whatever reason. Maybe because we're about the only species that *can* contemplate taking our own life.

It's like masturbation. Just because most people deny it doesn't mean they don't do it.

No, because some people all ready said they have not. But I have. I didn't really get serious about it but I did think about how I would do it, the consequences after the fact, and what it would prove. So I did it. I'm dead now...just kidding.

I think if you run through those thoughts every once and a while it really strengthens you mentally and gives you a perspective of where you are at in life. It can motivate you to find happiness that every one is looking for. It is out there, you just got to keep trying.

Yap.
I think I could be diagnosed as
Suicidal
Manic-depressive
Social Anxiety Disorder'd
Schizophrenic
Obsessive Compulsive
Sociopathic
If I told a "doctor" everything I know.

Which is comforting to know there's a whole pharmacy of drugs
waiting for me when I have one of those "breakdowns"
Can't wait for that, never to happen.

It's so ridiculously easy to fall into Many lifelong psychological "disorders".. chemical imbalances!
It seems with more detail you offer, the more insane you are.
Just keep your mouth closed, srsly.

NO I'VE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT ENDING IT ALL
YOU'RE CRAZY YOU SHOULD SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION!

btw-- everyone that just SAID they never thought about suicide.. JUST thought about suicide. Isn't it great to know you're now part of the club?

damn Sluggo, having a gun to your head with the trigger @ 1/2 sounds pretty brave/serious to me.
One day I thought about contemplating suicide, but the bridge had no access for pedestrians. ****** long walk for nothing.

-.-

Yes, i do belive, even if u think someone has no promblems in their life, they just hide them. I have thought and tried once by taking pills ( a lot of pills) I got scared am made my self pewk, i relized i didn't want to die, am here for a reason, by then i past out, my mom took me to the hospital, i had to get my stomach pumped, i don't remember that, but i remember waking up in the hospital, with a dry mouth and a big headach with tubes everywhere. after that i heard this saying and it's stuck with me since There are many paths to the top of a mountian but the view is always the same

no i have never even imagined committing suicide. without doubt at some part of my life i felt the worst. but i never thought of ending it. becoz i believe every problem has a solution. and one must bare it till the solution comes. there is no other way. every god damn life is full of problems. but suicide is not the solution. i love life and i would like to live it as long i can.

I think everyone has "moments " where they wish they were not alive. I used to ask to die when I was like 10 yrs. old, when I got a really bad headache. It is a natural reaction to pain and suffering, which most of us can thankfully repress enough not to pull the trigger. Suicide is for wimps anyway.

mel gibson,, as Hamlet, said something about siucide that convinced me not to. He was praying for relief from his grief,"oh,that the Most High had not set his will against self destruction!". I got reborn, got spirit filled , and got free of that problem... Best Shakespearian movie mel ever did!!
