Very. I was worried from the time that I heard there would be a launch. If more countries decided that a space program was a proper way to display thier power and technology we probably wouldnt have the problems we do.

i am in awe of the space shuttle and the whole darn space program. i am a fan, supporter and follower of and with the space shuttle. you are right though, lots of people starving and all the rest of it. does that mean we stop everything and don't bother moving forward. how are we suppose to help if we don't move ahead of the pack. growth has to happen and casualties will happen. hell,i'm a casualty. the worlds growing all around me.

Yes, I am. And I am sure the astronaut's families feel the same way, although probably a smidge more strongly than I do.
However, it is sad that there is no replacement for that decrepit, archaic, fossilized, dangerous, built-by-the-lowest-bidder piece of garbage.

Yes - I releived big time. Peoples future is in space and right development of Space technology (which is missing today) will benefit our economy hugely!

I agree with you, but there are lives at stake, there was a problem with the craft upon takeoff, and I am beyond relieved that everyone made it back to earth safely

not really, im not that interested in what is floating above earth, and i could care less if mars did hold water at one time or not, cause if we dont do something now about this war and world peace, earth will be mars very soon. i just think the money could have gone else where.
