Ok this is weird. I went to the clinic this afternoon and I was told by my doctor that I was healthily 5 months pregnant and told to use prenatal vitamins. I found it weird because I didn't have any symptoms or signs what so ever. I was never nauseated nor did I crave for food or seem tired. What made me go to the clinic was because I thought that gas was makeing me very bloated when all the while I was pregnant. And not to mention an itchy abdomen but no stretchmarks. My doctor found it weird also that I didn't have any sign's and told me I was just lucky... Any explanation on how that could be???

The itchyness would have been a dead give away. But many people are pregnant and do not realize it. Not all have cravings or get sick.. the sickness comes from how your body handles the flow of the pregnancy hormones. Some people are really sensative. I was actually allergic to the homones that my body produced and was vomiting the whole pregnancy. I was vomiting upon movement. Of course I was pregnant with twins at that time. But the unexplained itchiness would have been a dead give away. you could have googled swollen abdomen and itchy .. it would have been there somewhere. Good thing they found out. Good luck and have a healty pregnancy and baby.

Not everyone has soo called Morning sickness, nauseaus, nor food cravings, Although I do have to say if you are 5 mos prego I am quite surprised you aren't tired, fatigued, sleepy. As far as stretch marks...lots of women don't ever get em...some get em during pregnancy and some get em after pregnancy..and others don't get them at all.
I personally think it is weird that you find yourself pregnant after 5 mos? doesn't a missed period or 5 make you think otherwise???
How old are you?

Many (very lucky) women don't show that many signs of pregnancy early on. Bloating is a classic symptom but of course it happens to lots of people who aren't pregnant.
Not all women get sick, either. My cousin only had some headaches early in her pregnancy. No other signs.
So you're not weird.....just really lucky. Count your blessings! I have really bad symptoms from week 4 on!

Not all pregnant women get a very obvious "bump" or even have any side effects. I am not sure if it is because of genes or lifestyle (maybe if you are very excersize-savvy?) but I have heard several cases of such instances and all are in no way unhealthy. Congratulations! You seem to have skipped the uncomfortable part of pregacy, and let's hope that this stays this way!

Its pretty common i have had some patients not know all the way along and come in in labour to find out they are pregnant.
Regular bleeding could have been small placental or cervical bleeds
Lack of nause is just luck
itch skin is stretching but not everyone gets stretch marks
not everyone craves
Unbelievable but tru

well, at least no periods u should have as a symptom! if u still have bleeding every month, that's weird and abnormal, otherwise no other symptoms is perfectly fine. My friend is a lucky example of an absolutely symptomless pregnancy and perfect delivery.

I guess you havent seen on tv those women that suddenly are in labor and had no idea they were pregnant? My first two pregnancies I was about 8-12 weeks along before I woke up to it....
A little odd but certainly not unheard of!

I didn't tell my co-workers I was pregnant until I was almost 7 months along. Some people just do not show until the very end.
Congrats!
