My external fan just went out on my AC unit. Anyone know where I can get another one without calling a repairman?

I just recently replaced my A/C condenser fan. A licensed air conditioning friend of mine got the motor for me. Unless you have a contractors license, most parts outlet will not sell it to you. You're right, it's a conspiracy. It's going to cost you two or three times if you call a A/C repairman. It's simple to replace.

Try Johnson Supply, Baker, ACR, Solar Supply, Johnstone. Motors run between $50 to $75, If you call A/C contractor your looking at $300, we buy these same motors.

Look up Grangers in your area, you may need a business license though to purchase from them

get the name of the unit and google the site and they can get it for you, they might need the model number. Or you can call home depot or sutherland
