It's so funny that I said "Elizabeth TURNER"---She's technically not married yet but It'll happen soon enough.

I think the movie was "tricking" everyone. The compass worked just fine until Jack took the 'Letter of Marque' she wanted. If she didn't get Will's name on that letter, he was going to be hanged. I think it was pointing at Jack because he had the only thing that could save Will's life. It just freaked her out...

she wants the rebellion and unconformity she sees in jack and will. she's been rbought up so rigidly ya know? she wants an escape and both of these characters have a bit of bad boy in them, sort of representing the byronic hero. her greatest desire is to be free from the strcuture her fathers high positoin has placed her in.

i have a lot of things:
she wants to be forever in love and married to will
she wants to be adventurous
she wants to be "with" captain jack because she loves pirates...and she almost doesnt want to admit that she's becoming one, but she has always loved them since she was a child
AND her last name isn't turner.....yet...

I just seen pirates 2 and the answer is to save will but at one point the compass pointed to jack. if you don't understand my answer then you'll just have to watch the movie!!! hahaha

its finding will of course, but captain jack sparrow got her to think that it was the dead mans chest bcuz that would get will bk, of course for a few it was captain jack sparrow himself but then he came and checked and realised it was underneath her!
