I think they are absolutely stunning creatures. I once had the great joy of meeting one of the largest kind of wolf face to face in a natural setting. A Timber Wolf! (http://dnr.wi.gov/org/land/er/factsheets/mammals/wolf.htm) I was hiking in northern Ontario, Canada amongst some particularly sparse vegetation and tumbled rock formations when I cleared the edge of large boulder and began to haul myself to the top. Suddenly there he was! His giant soulful yellow eyes staring right into mine! No malice or hunger did I perceive there. He seemed truly curious of my nature and not 5 feet from me simply stood silently and nonchalantly gazing at me. I have to say that even though I was in awe of the creature I also had a little fear and a great deal of respect for him. I bowed my head and stared at the boulder I had just crested for perhaps 3 seconds and then looked back. He was GONE! I never even heard his steps as he left. A truly amazing creature.

i think all animals are really, really wierd looking if you look real closely.
like squirrels?
they're the wierdest, fakest looking animals ever.
and cats?
what's with those mouths?
and you know what else? i think they every animal is probably really sensitive about how strange they look. if you look at a cat long enough, you can tell--they know. i think that is why animals all scurry away and hide. because they are insecure.
having never seen a wolf up close, i can only assume that they are every bit as wierd looking as every other animal.

Very beautiful and very misunderstood. They are like sharks and are completely unappreciated for the magnificence and beauty they have in them. They are too far and few between. Good question!!!
